book review:
As the mother of a ten year old child with autism,
it was nice to be able to connect with these mothers as they
shared their journey of raising their children. They speak
candidly about their experiences, good and bad, and offer
invaluable nuggets of information to parents who are navigating
in the world of autism. I appreciated their willingness to
speak not only about their triumphs, but their frustration
and trials as well. I finished the book feeling lighter and
less anxious about the road ahead for our family. I would
recommend Parenting Across the Autism Spectrum for any one
who is touched by autism, not just parents, as this book offers
an inside perspective that would benefit extended family and
friends.
